Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi @Juliecruzin! Alot of great info on the family forum. However we cruised on Oasis out of Florida with our 8 month old several years ago. Like you, we cruised many time prior to our child. This cruise was very different than the past, but fantastic! And the pictures we show our 10 year old now are priceless. This ship provided us with a pack and play which was in good condition and our daughter had no issues sleeping. We brought prepared baby food and formula on board, so didn't rely on the RCL food all that much. Some tips: - We brought some magnets and a black out curtains. So we set up a "separate" area for our daughter to sleep and nap...worked great! - Going in we knew we couldn't do everything we wanted and had to adjust our schedules. i.e. we kept it simple and skipped specialty restaurants and kept to the main dining room and did MTD. Of course you can hit the nicer restaurants, but wasn't a need for us. - We were able to do the later shows, as as daughter slept in the stroller during the shows. We sat / stood by the back of the theater. Was this cruise as relaxing as prior to our daughter. Of course not! But looking back, would do it over and over again! A great experience!
  2. Thank you al again for the great replies! As my daughter is young, other than getting on and off the ship, won’t need her Sea Pass for the room or to buy anything. I’m going to try to get two cabins very very close, so hopefully the same cabin attendant. If not, will be sure to add an extra tip for my attendant. Also I’m thinking if the rooms are almost next to each other, would have the same lifeboat station? I also looked into connecting cabins. However for two Central Park Balcony cabins, it costs ~$300 more a cabin to have two connecting vs two very close. Guess there are a limited number of connecting cabins, but $600 more total for connecting seems like a lot. Anything THANKS ALL!
  3. THANKS all for the quick and clear responses...really appreciate it!
  4. Hi all! We're planning a RCL Allure cruise next year. Will be myself, my wife, and daughter, and my sister (solo cruiser). Plan is for my family of three to reserve one Central Balcony, and my sister to reserve her own. As kids aren't free on this cruise, I have to pay extra (in addition to tax) for my daughter, and my sister needs to pay almost 2x as she's solo. However...If I reserve one cabin with my wife/daughter and the second with my sister/me, we can save $650. We'd reserve cabins close to each other. Question...On the ship, would anyone from RCL raise an issue if we reserve this way, and I stay/sleep in the cabin with my wife and daughter (my daughter is young and would sleep between us on the bed and doens't need her own bed). THANKS!
