Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Sorry guys I could not for the life of me figure out how to find my signature with my cruises listed and that's they only way I knew how to do it. Sorry. I find the new format very hard to use. I liked the old one so much better.
  2. I just wanted to give an update on my findings so far for the next person in the same situation. The couch might be bolted to the wall but I was told it could be un bolted. I have allerted the travel Ag that my Mother is bringing the Scooter but does not need further accomidations in the cabin. I did not go with the associated scooter rental company which would have been much easier, due to the limited space in the Cove Balcony. I was very concerned with the limited space and the scooters offered that didn't shrink down the foot print of the scooter, the back of the chair folds down and the tiller folds but you still have this huge piece of machinery in a tiny cabin. I went with a Fold up model Pride Go Go, l that I rented from Mobility Plus in Pemb Pines. This unit folds up pretty small. I think it will fit somewhere near the couch. Hopefully we have plug on that side of the room. I am going to pick it up the day before as I need less things to do the day of embarkation not more. They were very nice and I hope this all works out, this is a first time cruising with the scooter.
  3. I have watched many videos and it looks like if we could move the couch either towards the bathroom or towards the bed it will fit. I know the room is tight, they tell me it will work. I have a call placed to the TA. Might have to call CCL.
  4. Does anyone here have experiance with a Mobility Scooter in a Cove Balcony cabin on Carnival Celebration? We are renting from Scoot around their smallest unit. I looked at the floor plan and am concerned where this thing will live when in the room. Does the couch move?
  5. Bring it all! We bring a ton of stuff and never had an issue, a bag for snorkle gear, a bag for shoes, a bag for bathroom stuff and and just in case stuff, bag for hair products etc. A bag for hanging dinner clothes and then everyone gets a bag for their stuff for the week. The ship doesn't care about the weight. They add water to the ship for stabilization. Bring it! Be happy!
  6. Wow 2 weeks, that's great. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful trip.
  7. Anyone get a passport recently? My Son and Husband passport expired (covid) and we just sent them in for renewal. We did it digitally which was a little bit time consuming (beta testing) but nice that I didn't have to leave the house and could use a credit card, winning~! Said it could take up to 10 weeks. I'd like to hear from folks that have ordered one recently if it really took that long. For our Alaska cruise years ago it came much faster then the then quoted 8 weeks but that was before all the security checks they do now. Thanks all you happy cruisers!
