  1. Other than the cruise line designating it as such, what makes a cabin a single/solo cabin? Does it only have a twin bed in it?
  2. I like it for basically these same reasons. It makes the room not only physically bigger, but it brings in a lot more daylight, so it seems even bigger.
  3. This is very true. Not every island or location that a cruise visits has a consulate or embassy.
  4. They will tell you if they are changing the time. You should bring a dumb watch. Don't rely on your cell phone to know what time it is.
  5. It probably depends on how late in November the sailing is, and how late in November Thanksgiving occurs in whatever year you are sailing.
  6. I'm curious...as a solo cruiser, how do you handle eating in the Windjammer during a busy time (like breakfast)? If you want to go back for more food, how do you prevent the crew from removing your dishes and thereby giving up your seat?
  7. Actually they can leave without you. The language is written such that they guarantee you will be returned to the ship but that could include transporting you to the next port. I'm sure it's a very rare occurrence but that's how they worded it.
  8. I don't think any of us can answer if not having internet is a good or bad idea for you. I never get internet on any cruise of any length because I like being disconnected. It has nothing to do with cost or duration.
  9. Just because you have never heard of it doesn't mean it's not possible.
