  1. I understood the poster to mean that once you reach a level, that level is never removed, even if you don’t cruise. You maintain that level for life, unless you reach the next level m
  2. I can’t understand why parents would bring a child into some adults only venues, especially those that are inappropriate for kids. I’m not talking about the solarium, I’m speaking of quest, or the adult comedy shows. Parents brought a child (looked to be about 8 or 10) into the 10:30pm adult comedy show in the Comedy Club on Wonder. Comedian saw the kid, engaged the parents and said something like, “you know they’ll be some language and adult content here “. Parents nodded. The comedian did a few jokes and it was clear he was someone guarded. (It was our second week on board, we had seen the first week so we knew he used language.) After the few jokes he said, “F it” (crowd applauded) and did his regular show. We all had to show our sea pass card to get in. Even without, it was obvious we’re talking about a young child not a teen who might not pass the age requirement. I don’t know how or why that kid was taken in/let into the comedy club for an adult show. I’m hoping some of the themes just run over the kids head. There’s no staff except bar staff inside the venue (announcements and intros are taped) so no one to ask the family to leave. m
  3. I would expect there to be a hefty fee at this resort as well as the resort in Nassau There is no indication that it will be complementary. There was another article written by a blogger that indicated there would be an admission fee. The only thing you might get for “free“ is to be able to use your drink package or vouchers. m
  4. Yes-it has always been that way. While not dining, it is the same with the Internet benefit. Diamond plus gets two days of Internet on a three night cruise or longer. A few benefits are dependent upon cruise length. (number of amenities, wash and fold laundry, cheers with an officer, etc.) most of the amenities are the same, regardless of the length of cruise. A nice set of benefits. m
  5. This was from a month or two ago. Some specific rules may change, but exclusions should be listed on the benefits page. Above the circled area is a mention that the Bogo is for dinner.
  6. Dinner. At least according to the info that is provided on the benefits list that will be in your cabin. All the exclusions are clearly listed. M
  7. Thanks for the reminder of the duty free shop at Barcelona. It has been a while since we cruised from there. m
  8. That is encouraging info. We have a B2B in Southhampton and one in Barcelona later this year. We've done dozens, but they have all been in the US and we were required to get off the ship. Thanks. M
  9. Yes -Meds, Meds, Meds. Both OTC and Rx - AND A FEW EXTRA DAYS. 5 or 6 years ago we were 3 days delayed returning to Florida because of a hurricane. Folks were scrambling for Rx meds. Back them, Captain suggested to get meds in Mexico. Of course all that has changed with Meds from Mexico and in fact there is a warning in the compass to be careful about med purchases in Mexico. M
  10. You can book as many days as your need. Generally, I find the service in the cabins to be the weakest with better service in public areas. If the test is when the ship is docked, you may be better off going off of airplane mode and using a day of international service. My phone service gives me free service in Mexico/Canada and I can get 24 hours of international service for $10/day Good luck. I hope the technology works for your grandson. M
  11. Towards the end of the cruise, you will receive printed detailed instructions of how to handle the back to back. On the last day, you will meet with other back-to-back or in a predetermined time and location. Sometimes we’ve been given our new keys then, and sometimes we’ve been given our new keys after clearing customs. Seems it is handled differently on different ships. There will also be instructions. Should you want to leave the ship during the day. You will need to repack everything in your drawers, vanity bathroom, etc. In most cases you can leave your hanging clothes in the closet. The room attendant can move your suitcases and the hanging clothes for you. As others have suggested, we speak to the new cabin attendant so that he/she can often get our room serviced first. Last back-to-back cruise, we simply walked our suitcases over to the new room and put them in the closet. And because we had some time before we had to be at the back-to-back meet up, we simply moved our hanging clothes as well. It took no more than five minutes. Your process may be contrary, but in every back-to-back, I’ve done, I’ve had to physically walk off the ship walk through customs. We are held a little while (can be five minutes, or up to an hour,) and then we are brought right back on the ship. We are right back onto the ship before anyone is allowed to board. it’s a very easy process, just follow the letter and follow the crowd and everything will work out smoothly. Most of our back-to-back have been in a US coastal port, and we have stayed on board. Our upcoming back to backs are in European port and I suspect we will get off the ship. Enjoy
  12. That is very gracious. I generally frequent a lounge for specialty coffee in the morning. There is always someone checking on the coffee machine and replenishing food is needed. It’s generally the same person every day. At the end of the cruise I will often give that person, a small tip (maybe $10). It doesn’t seem to be something that I see others doing or that is expected by the server. It’s just some thing I choose to do equally as important, if there is someone that you see every day that helps you in the lounge, it’s always good to recognize them in the survey. That goes along way for them. m
  13. Seems these days I have more "cruise crap" than clothing in my luggage. M
