Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I agree. The suites on O are +/- $7k pp. I’m afraid he’s going to have to bite the bullet. Thanks for your help.
  2. He has claustrophobia and wants > 300 sf. (40 years I’ve been married to this man—25 cruises—and this is a new wrinkle!)
  3. Is there a place where I can find the various square footages of all the cabins? My husband hates tiny cabins and needs to know before he goes. We’re looking at Oceania Celebrity Princess Thank you!
  4. I used to live in San Diego. If *I* had a day there, I’d go to the zoo. San Diego Zoo is one of the world’s best.
  5. Thank you! It’s all there!
  6. We haven’t sailed Princess in ten years. Going on a Los Angeles departure cruise. As we live on the west coast and won’t be flying, I’m considering taking some wine. What are the rules/restrictions on that? Thanks, y’all are the best.
  7. Just curious about something. I had long assumed the cruise lines were headquartered in Miami, in big beautiful offices, so I was mildly surprised to see that HAL is Seattle-based. So, out of curiosity, I looked up Princess—mailing address is in Santa Clarita, CA. Huh? Maybe nowadays they no longer have glass and steel offices because everyone works remotely?
  8. I have been on an O cruise over Halloween. There was a gathering area designated for people who wanted to be in costume. I think it may have been a “roll call” type of thing organized within these boards. Wasn’t a huge turnout.
  9. Thanks all, for your replies. I had forgotten about the Jones Act.
  10. Or San Diego. Hi, we’ve done several transatlantic cruises but, as we live in SoCal, we’re interested in a transpacific to Hawaii. Anybody know which lines have that itinerary? Many thanks.
  11. Depends on the type of sandal. Flip-flops are definitely out, but stylish/dressy sandals are fine for the ladies.
  12. Hi. The higher class cabins get to make reservations earlier (i.e. first). While it’s possible there will be nothing left by the time you log on, I have never had this happen. There are also waitlist opportunities. We have had success booking same-day with the maitre d of any of the other dining venues as they all use the same booking system.
