Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Looking at the schedule for Port Metro Vancouver, the Ovation is arriving at 2am on May 9th and leaving at 3am on May 10 so embarking times may be slightly altered. The large ships can't fit under the Lions Gate Bridge at normal departure times so they have to come in and out when the tide is low. Means after embarkation you will sit in the harbour until 2am.
  2. The Bliss was in Port in Vancouver on Friday, I go through there on my way home and there were definitely people boarding.
  3. Earlier in the thread someone said they wished they could access future cruises while on current cruise. Noticed yesterday that in the Princess app you can now toggle between booked cruises under profile > voyages, which you couldn't do before. Not sure if this is what you meant but is a new feature. If you select all will also show you your previous Medallion voyages.
  4. We are getting on Ruby in two weeks, wondering who the performer in Crooners is (or will be). Also the bartenders. Love running into staff from previous cruises.
  5. HI, we are on the Ruby in a couple of weeks, have done many cruises but never on the Ruby. What is the 'Adagio'? Deck plan shows it on the Sun deck next to Sabatini's. Just wondering if you know if it is a restaurant or lounge? Thanks
  6. Many don't realize that when sailing Alaska out of Vancouver you are required to go through US Border and Customs during the embarkation processes which adds another line that you wouldn't experience if departing from a US port. The declaration piece at customs is done via electronic terminals that scan you passport and do require some help if you haven't done it before which also slows down the process, as does the number of Customs officers available.
  7. My husband works at the Port of Vancouver checking in passengers. There is no separate line up for Elite/Suite guests anymore for check in, everyone in the green or blue lane. After check in there is priority boarding for Platinum, Elite and Suite, so you will board before others, but only after the check in lanes. Captains Circle loyalty benefits does not only say 'priority boarding' and not check in under Platinum benefits.
