  1. The price for my upcoming cruise is so much cheaper than what I paid for.
  2. I leave in 20 days. Just booked the Vibe for the first time. I'm booked on a cruise Nov 2024 but thinking it might be best if I cancel it and wait until the prices go down a few weeks prior. Is this what a lot of you do, wait until it gets close to a cruise date and book?
  3. Walk around, shop at the clock tower building and be sure to walk in the Fort.
  4. I want to take a cruise out of San Diego so bad. I will probably book for next year since I have 4 vacations booked for this year and one is SD by land.
  5. I take a pillow case to put on my pillow and use it to put dirty clothes in it for return home. Sometimes I took old pillow cases and just threw them out at the end of the cruise. Last cruise I took these little round pink magnets I got at the $.25 store and they were great to put on the wall next to bathroom with all my upcoming coupons and notes on what I had plans for. I just put them in date order and took off as necessary. It was great with holding my reminders for me just before I left the cabin.
  6. My husband was stationed at Mayport Naval Station back in '83. We lived on Mayport Road.
  7. I've had the club balcony a few times, and love the bigger bathroom and the walk in shower. One trip last year the cabin had a tub, and I was not happy. I stopped LeBistro and LaCuccina. LOVE CAGNEYS! Like someone else said, bring your own tumbler and fill at water station using a cup to pour in. This is the first time NCL is booking my flights - Newark to Seattle and reverse. Good thing is they are direct flight. Bad thing is 7am flight going and 940pm return flight. PCC said I would be given a few choices to pick from. That was a lie. PCC said I would be able to change if I didn't like the times. That was a lie. PCC said I would be able to cancel at no charge. That was a lie. I can change or cancel if I like....for a charge $$$. They wanted a lot of money for a hotel in Seattle. Booked that on my own.
  8. I was on 2 cruises last year and had the club balcony. Going to Alaska in May and booked the studio. Not sure how I'm going to be able to handle an inside cabin. I did place a bid, so here's hoping for the best.
  9. I'm looking at Nov. 2, 2023. If I go this far, I might just go into the new year for a few perks. If I go anytime between now and end of Oct, that'll be fine. I am now thinking of it more and more each day. I still need to decided on where I want to move to.
  10. I was just on the Breakaway a few weeks ago, solo, and loved it. All ready for my next solo on the Joy this Saturday.
  11. Got the name of the guy!!! HANDSOME ROB!!!
  12. It's in the daily each day. It says 5:30 solo meet. NCL rep, can't remember his name, super nice dude, would be there at 5:30 and escort whoever wanted to go to the Manhattan room over there at 6PM. You just walk in and he will direct you to the tables and you just sit and talk and enjoy. He even brings you to the shows early, about 45 minutes before show, and you go as a group in the side entrance. First ones in the theater and you grab whatever section/row you want. Of course we took middle, 1st and 2nd rows! lol We met him at the theater/Tent at whatever time he said. There was a sign up sheet in the Bliss. Oh, and whoever had dinner vouchers hooked up. ex. I took someone to Cagney's and they took me to Cagney's on another night. It really made solo traveling so much better! Enjoy!!!
  13. Wow. I wonder why on some ships they have the solo meet-ups and others they don't.
  14. I just returned from my first solo cruise, NCL Breakaway. I had no idea there was someone from NCL who was 'in charge' of the solo folk. It was pretty damn nice! Ready for my 2nd solo cruise in 16 more days.
