Your thoughts/experiences w/ Lucca on Sunday

Recommended Posts

Anyone been to Lucca on a Sunday?? We're debating a 9-1 tour, but from past exp., pretty much figure that alot will be closed. Anyone been on a Sunday? What's open?? We like to get a feel for the city, we've seen enough "rocks" and "ruins"..Thanks!

There's usually many people around, particularly in the piazzas. I believe the sites are open as are the stores, but close for a few hours at lunch. I am sure there must be a Lucca site that should also help. You can walk the wall or even rent bikes.

Lucca is a charming city--you will love it! Some great restaurants, too. Check on this site--there was another thread on Lucca.
