Will be on Magic 3 Mar 13. First trip on her after 22 other cruises. Have a few questions:

1. Is a reservation required for the Italian Rest?

2. Do you still get free bottle of wine for Steak House reservation on nite 1?

3. Is there a fee for use of serentity area?

(What happened to search function here on critic?)

4. What is the fee and what do you get for the "special" pool/saunas etc?

1. Is a reservation required for the Italian Rest?

No, but I would recommend it, we just went by around lunch the day we wanted to eat there and made our reservation with no problem, I highly recommend eating there, its so good.

2. Do you still get free bottle of wine for Steak House reservation on nite 1? As of last April, yes.

3. Is there a fee for use of serentity area?

No, but its pretty busy, so get there early

4. What is the fee and what do you get for the "special" pool/saunas etc?

Yes, you can buy a day or a week pass, don't remember the fee, sorry, we tried it one day, it was nice, but didn't have time to use it as much as I thought we would

hope this helps, and have a great cruise!!

Can somebody explain what the "special" pools/saunas are and where you have to go to pay?

The spa is fabulous, we used it every day. The rooms that are included are a warm room with heated loungers, a 2nd room with a "chai Tea" kind of aromatherapy and heated stone loungers, and a third room, the oriental steam room, which has Eucalyptus aromatherapy and fierce steam!! We progressed through these rooms each day and spent about 30-45 minutes in the thalasotherapy pool which is a very large heated jetted pool, very relaxing and made your skin feel marvelous. There is also a room with sofas and water with lemon available. We always showered there and used the hair dryers there to free up space for dressing in the cabin.

? For anyone that had a Spa Cabin recently

Did you have to exchange your Sail & Sign for the white VIP Access Card to the pool & sauna rooms?

I read about this on a Dream review, I was on the Magic last March and my S&S gave us access without having the hassle of trading cards. I often slip in and out if less than 10-15 mins a few times a day so I dont want to have to wait for access if no one is available to make the switch.. It sounds like a silly idea when it worked just fine using our S&S

Thanks for your reply.
