LaQuinta Hotel Ft. Lauderdale Airport

Has anyone stayed at this hotel lately? It supposedly has free parking while on cruise.

Is it close to anywhere we could buy wine before we board ship next morning?

We stayed at this LaQuinta for our last 2 cruises, the most recent being end of Feb of '04, and were very pleased with the accommodations. It is a newer hotel, within walking distance to a large shopping mall & several nice restaurants (we enjoyed Dave & Buster's -- good food & happy hour:) ). We've already booked a room here for our 14-day 12/22/04 sailing on the Rotterdam.

They offer a park/sleep/cruise package which includes one night's lodging in a king mini-suite; up to 14 days of parking; transfer from hotel to the port (which is only 5 miles away); comp breakfast. Thanks for the info. I got LaQuinta Airport for $62.00 for Feb 17th. I thought that was a pretty good price for a King Suite. I was getting worried because alot of the hotels didnt have any rooms available for that weekend. I guess because of Presidents day holiday and someone else said thats when the boat show is there.

I have stayed at this La Quinta. It is a very nice hotel. Large rooms, TV's with decent size screens, windows that open, and a nice pool area.

I was going to bid for this on priceline. But http://www.biddingfortravel.com warned there are other 2* at the airport and I didn't want to get one of them. So, I bid the Sheraton a 3* for $50 and got it for 1/15/04.

Anybody having any priceline luck with LaQuinta airport for Feb 2005?
