Wouldn't it be Great?

Recommended Posts

Wouldn't it be great if you could purchase a 'cruise time share'?

I would want to be able to choose my week each year and if possible opt out to a different ship.

Maybe you could purchase that Aft Cabin or your favorite suite.

Just a thought.......

Why don't you look into buying a condo on

ResidenSea? I saw it on the Travel Channel and

it looks like a great way to go. However, there

is a slight charge for one of their condo's,

and it runs about 5 million dollars. You can

always tap your Swiss bank account.

There was something on a news program the other night - kinda similar to this. A big thing in England now is for older persons, instead of going into retirement homes or nursing homes, actually buying a cabin on a cruise ship. Can you imagine?? I love that idea! One of the ladies interviewed was adorable - said she really didn't have any family - the ship's crew was like her family. They all knew when her birthday was and they would share holidays with her. She had been around the world and back a few times - can't remember what cruise line it was.

There was a similar thread one time that talked about a woman that lived on one of the Princess ships. She apparently had a cabin that does not show up in the deck plans that you see in the brochures.

The thought of purchasing a timeshare in any capacity is hillarious to me... Right now I can book a week anywhere I want any time I want on land or at sea or wherever and never have to pay any maintenance fees or get locked into a certain week that might be convenient NOW but might not be convenient LATER.

Hmph! LOL

Taters, I bought a timeshare for $4,000 on ebay and even thought it has a specific week, I can trade it for any week, anywhere in the world because I have it in an area which is RED all year long.It has 2 BR, LR, DR, full kitchen, sleeps 8, has in room jacquzzi, not to mention the resort is a 5 star and has other wonderful amenities. I am NOT a fool.

When I traded it for a week in Hawaii in December I saved BIG $$$$. The rooms that I was looking at in the area I wanted , on the beach and the week I wanted with the amenities I wanted were going for over $200-300 a night even on priceline. I am SO internet saavy that I NEVER pay more than $50 a night ever when I go any other time. So who is the fool? Like in all other things, do not speak about it unless you have ALL the information.

This is the II website for those who asked.Interval world

My x-husband worked for the company that invented the concept of time share while we were together... I DO know the ins and outs of this thing. Don't flame me for not sharing your opinion.
