St Augustine

My friend wants to visit St Augustine by cruising. Would a cruise to Tobago allow her an easy way to visit? If so, any suggestions as to the best way to get there. I can't seem to find much info on St Augustine internet. Any input greatly appreciated!

Hi,:) I live in Jacksonville, Florida and the only St. Augustine I know

first hand is about 25 miles south of me~the oldest city in the USA.

I love it there:)...the old city is very walkable and has lots of shops

and restaurants and the water is lovely. But I don't know anything

about a St. Augustine near Tobago. Maybe your friend has her city

mixed up with something else?

Thanks, Lois, however I am not looking for info for St Augustine, Florida, but the town in Trinidad/Tobago.

Thanks!

St. Augustine is in Trinidad. If the cruise stops in Tobago, our guide told us the fast ferry takes 2.5 hours each way, the slow ferry 5 hours. There are flights... but with a normal port time of 8 hours, I don't think this is a good option for your friend.

Princess Cruises offers some cruises to Port of Spain, Trinidad. Those might be a better choice.
