Best Route into Bayonne???

We are traveling for the first time into Bayonee for the Dec 14th sailing on the Explorer. Based on where we live in Ohio, it is almost the same distance to take Routes 70/78 as it is to come in 80(turnpike) and then 280. Does anyone have any suggestions on which way would be better as we get close....we want to stay about 2 hours from the port the night before (including morning traffic).....???? is one route going to be better for the morning traffic?....originally we were thinking of staying in Allentown?

Suggestions?......

The 78 will bring you right past the Newark airport and then you will only be about 10 minutes from the port.

I guess you still have not figured out what to do yet since I remember your post from a few months ago about where to stop and stay along with way thats two hours away.

Here is a map of the area ...
