Is there any difference having VC instead of VD on the Oosterdam

Recommended Posts

The main difference is the size of the balconies. The VD's have 7.5 deep balconies, with the outer 1.5 ft exposed to view, while the VC (and side VB/VA) have 6 ft deep ones. If you don't mind that, I'd say the VD are better.

In the pic below the people at the railing are on VD balconies. Note that the divider next to the man in the gray shirt is open. The VD balconies are not as wide as they appear to be for those two people.

Some of the VD are above areas that could be sources of noise - the Screening Room and the galley - while the VC, VB, and half of the VA are sandwiched between other cabin decks.

The view from some of the VD (4053, 4054, 4123, 4124) is slightly blocked by lifeboats.

If 4164 and 4166 aren't taken yet, those have 18 ft wide balconies, but 4166 has only a shower - no tub.
