weather in January?

We are booked on the Mariner in January for the western caribbean....what should we expect for weather? I have heard good and bad...Thanks. We just got back from Bermuda and keep reading that most people prefer Bermuda over the caribbean, depending on what you are looking for in a destination.

We're going in Feb. I was told that this is not the rainy season. I think the average low was low to mid seventies and average high was mid eighties.

:) You should expect beautiful weather. It is not as hot in Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar as it is in the summer months. Love to cruise at that time of the year.

Thank you so much for the reply. There are 14 of us going and some of the people have been concerned that it is going to be cold.

We just went this past January and weather was perfect. 80's each day high 70's on Disney's private island in the Bahamas. We were able to swim each day and at each port. You will love it.

Kely53 .... You will LOVE it in January. It's our absolutely favorite time to cruise in the Caribbean! :)

Since you are from PA, you are probably familiar with the Jersey Shore. You'll find the Caribbean in January to be pretty much the same as "The Shore" is the last week in June! ;)

Per above posters, no problem with going to the beach and swimming in all of the ports on your Western itinerary in January!
