Getting around in New Orleans

Good Morning fellow CCer's!

If someone would be so kind to help me out.

We are sailing the Star in November out of New Orleans.

We are flying sown teh night before. Teh hotel we are staing at does not provide a hotel shuttle. Can you please give me any information on buses, taxis, streetcars..... to get from airpot to hotel and approx. cost if you know.

Depending upon where you are staying, a taxi is an easy way to get to the port. We stayed in the French Quarter and had our hotel call a taxi for us. Took it 5 minutes to arrive. We got to the port in about 10 minutes. Cost was $15-ish. New Orleans is awesome. We loved our stay.

Cab from airport is fine as well. Not sure of rate - Maybe $20 or so?

I assume and hope your hotel is in or near the French Quarter.

If you hotel is downtown, i.e. Canal St/French Qtr, cab fare from the airport is about $35 for two. Same hotels to the port are about $5-7 plus tip. Easy.
