VOYAGER REVIEW 4/25--PART TWO

Recommended Posts

Thanks to those of you who took time to respond to the first part of my review. Please excuse all the typo's I've been sick with a really bad head cold and I don't think my brain is working to well.

Judyf--the Voyager Expo is just like a said, held on the Royal Promenade(Deck 5) and its a place where you can see all the specail things that are available. It begins at 2:30PM -- 3:30PM and you register somwhere in the middle of the deck. Just follow the directions over the public address system. You do have to be there when they do the drawing or they draw a new card. They raffled things like waverunner passes to be used at Coco Cay, Dinner for two at Portofino's, key chains, aquamouse, bingo packages and I don't remember what else. It was fun to be a part of and if nothing else you can get those cocconut cookies.

Teapot44--we had been to Coco Cay before and that's we decieded to stay on the ship, besides it was one of the few days the pools were so empty!

Our stateroom as I said was on deck 6 and looked out onto the Promenade, it was fun to
just sit and watch people, and wave to those that looked up and the people across the way. Of course, formal night was great we just sat there and watched the ladies walk by. We did a thumbs up & down, of course no thumbs down were ever shown to the people, but a couple of ladies did look up and we gave them thumbs up! They laughed and gave us thumbs up. Just something dumb but we enjoyed ourselves. Karen was convinced that we needed to take clothes pins to make sure that our curtains stayed closed so we wouldn't be a show. No need to worry there are 3 sets of curtains on the windows. One is a sheer set, when closed unless you stood right in front of them and changed you could see a thing. The second set of curtains kept the light out & third set were "pretty" ones for us to look at.

DAY THREE:
This was our first at sea day and I just don't know how the day went by so fast. Karen was obessed about getting ship shape dollars(the dollars they give you for join activities, one dollar per activity) so she set the alarm for 7AM to be up and read for Pure & Simple Stretch class, then walked a mile. I slept until she returned around nine, this was our morning routine. Off to the Windjammer for breakfast, if you walk through the front of the Windjammer where it is most crowded, go to the back you will find a part of the Windjammer called "Island Grill" much less crowded and same food. Again we had breakfast watching the water and being amazed at how blue and clear the water was. Back to room to check the Compass and get our schedule for the morning. Off to Cleopatra's Needle for line dancing class. This class was a lot of fun, even if I spent most of the time laughing at myself. I'm a terrible dancer, once reason being I can't tell my left from my right, so you know where this is going. After the line dance class it was off to the Spa for the "No More Bad Hair Days" seminar. Interesting class but not what I expected. It was more like a chemistry class but the fun part was you got a free consultation with one of the hair styleist for free. Schedule our consulations for 2PM. Left there for our Meet & Mingle Party in the High Notes Jazz Club on Deck 14. Now I know where the day went, we spent it running from one side of the ship to the other, but good exercise. Anyhow about 16 of the 34 people that signed up came to the party. It was really nice to meet the people we had been taking with. We had a very nice group of people, but we didn't see them after this party. Ran into a few people here and there. Back to Windjammer for lunch and then back to the casino to play more Black Jack. I did well and was still up so walked away from the table. Played a little video poker and won a few more dollars. Why didn't I just quit there??? I do believe that Karen was still a head at this point as well. I guess we spend a good part of the afternoon there. We then went to the gemstone & diamond talk given by the Cruise Director Kevin??? I can't remember his last name. At some point this afternoon Karen got tickets for the Ice Show and I went to get more cookies . Time to get ready for dinner. Had a nice dinner and then back for more cookies and off to bed. Like I said we were addicted to the cookies, and you couldn't tell there was any night life on board by us.

DAY FOUR:
This morning we change our routine & I went with Karen to walk a mile. While doing our walk we got a nice view of the island of Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Back to the room to clean up, off to Windjammer for breakfast(there's a pattern developing here) back to room to pack our bag for our excursion. But first we walked to the Taj Mahal for a little shopping. I must say here that after walking to the shops, I
