Rock and Gem shops

I have been told there are many great finds for rocks, gems and possible fossiles in the Mexican Riviera. Does anyone know of a store or vendor that would be selling these at a reasonable cost? We are not interested in jewelery as we make some of our own as a hobby. We will be in Acq, Ixt, PV and Cabo.

Bumping this up as I too am interested in knowing about such shops in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Can anyone out there share some info with us?

Hi, there is a rock-gem shop here in Vallarta on Morelos Street. If you see the backside of a department store here called LANS - it will be across the street and up (south) about two blocks, right hand side of the street.
