I can't speak for certainty as I don't live down there, but just about every time I've been there it's called for rain. This rain usually occurs around 4pm for about 15 minutes (if at all).

We were married in Nassau last June and it rained that day for about 15 minutes. By the time the ceremony started it was HOT as heck and sunny! :D

I try not to pay too much attention to the location weather any more before leaving for vacation. It generally always calls for rain and it's not usually much of anything. Nothing you can do about it anyway...just go and make the best of whatever is thrown your way! :D

Well just got back it rained all day Saturday and Sunday we were unable to stop at cocco cay yesterday and you couldn't really go on the decks. We still had a good time but I feel bad for mom....

I'm sorry to hear that!! :( Did your Mom have fun though??

She had a great time.... She is very easy going and goes with the flow... She was disappointed but didn't let it ruin here trip....

It just means you need to book another cruise so that she can visit what you missed. :)

In all seriousness, though, I'm glad you were able to make the best of it. Rain caused a bit of a problem when we were in Belize once but we were just happy to be on vacation.

Like I always told my Girl Guides (Canadian version girl cub scouts)....

"there is no such thing as inclement weather, only inappropriate clothing".

That's a good one! If it rains I guess you only need a bathing suit and a drink!! :p

I have friends at the Atlantis right now and they paid all that money for rain the entire week. They spending even more money at the casino and bars so the trip is literally a wash out. They're happy to be away but this morning she spent $33 on a coffee, grapefruit and a bagel.

She did say on Facebook that there was a peek of sun this morning so she was running outside to actually see it.

Stinks to spend money on a full week of rain (especially in the ultra expensive Bahamas) but at least on a cruise there are other stops with some hope of sun.

Hope you have a good vacation with some R & R.

I'll be in Nassua 2 weeks today! Norwegian Gem there for the day. I booked the Colonial Hilton Day Pass and while I'm nervous about rain and no refund.:( The quote of "guess all you need in the rain is a swim suit and a drink" has brought a big smile to my face!!! I will remember and do that if it does rain!!! And yes, I will tell myself over and over, "I'm on vacation"!

Just off NCL Sky for the weekend. Rained the entire time!!! Excursions were cancelled for their private island. We did the Atlantis waterpark in the rain. No lines! Felt like we had the place to ourselves! LOL
