Breakaway slides - shoes?

I was wondering if you are allowed to wear aqua socks or any type of shoes on the water slides on the Breakaway. I'm assuming that if you wear flip flops they will make you take them off. Any help would be appreciated.

I saw someone with socks on the waterslide when I was on the Breakaway. Flip flops would come flying off if you wore them.

I'll take my water socks next month and see if they allow them.

Pardon my ignorance, but are water socks and water shoes the same thing? I just want to make sure I buy something I can actually use on the slides.
