Funk Band The Meters Reunite for Farewell Concert in New Orleans

 

Morning Edition, April 21, 2005 · One of the highlights this weekend at JazzFest in New Orleans will be the farewell concert of The Meters. Music journalist Ashley Kahn remembers The Meters, a funk band of the late-1960s and '70s. The group didn't have many hits, but it continues to influence musicians today.
