St. Thomas Christmas Cove excursion

Recommended Posts

We are thinking of taking the St. Thomas Christmas/Honeymoon Cove snorkel and beach BBQ excursion during our EOS cruise this July. The excursion information says that you have to get from the boat to the beach to enjoy the BBQ. Is the water shallow enough from where the boat anchors to the beach so you can walk or is it deep and do you have to swim? One of our party can't swim and has a pretty severe fear of water. She wouldn't snorkel but would enjoy doing the beach and BBQ. Thanks for your help!

We took the "Bones" snorkling trip and had a BBQ at Honeymoon Cove and we had to swim/snorkle in to the beach. Some offer an inflatable raft but not the "Bones". By the way the Bones was a GREAT time at Turtle cove and we swam with numerous sea turtles. Wonderful crew on the "Bones" and really a rockin good time. Wish you good luck on your cruise.:D

We do know that but the excursion sounds like fun and the beach is more secluded and less crowded than others that are easier to get to. It just sounds like a fun excursion.

We did the Bones excursion (for the third time) to Turtle Cove and Honeymoon Cove about three weeks ago from the Explorer of the Seas. As always, there was a zodiac (inflatable boat) to shuttle people to the beach and back if they did not want to swim.

Dana and Capt. Jim were great, as usual. It was Capt. Jim's last week, though. He and his wife are headed to the Bahamas for an undetermined length of time. The barbecue was delicious, and the "painkiller" was fantastic!

Couldn't say enough good things about that trip. By the end everyone was Rockin" and Rollin" and I do believe the "painkiller" helped break the ice.Capt.Jim was a great guy and had some great tales of his sailing experiences. We were on the Freedom over New Years and ours was fantastic onboard. RCL went first class on the celebration.Overall couldn't be better.
