Snorkeling at Cayo Levantado

I have several questions about snorkeling at Cayo Levantado. Is there snorkeling from the beach? If so, about how deep is the water and is the snorkeling good - can you see lots of colorful fish, etc. Also, is there a place to rent snorkel equipment? I love to snorkel, but do not want to go out on a boat that takes you to a reef where the water is 100 ft +. I Just want a place where I can walk into the water.
