Is it true? No Washy Washy?

Recommended Posts

I read somewhere the Washy Washy Happy Happy folks are not on the Breakaway. Instead, they have a row of sinks.

Now, how is this going to work? So many people bypass the spray - are they really going to scrub up before dinner? or between courses?

Are the sinks at every entrance, or just the main entry?

Can someone explain this please? I am new to NCL. Thanks

On other ships, there are several smiling crew members standing at the gangway, and the buffet area entrance holding spray bottles of hand sanitizer saying 'Washy,Washy' and spraying the hands of the passengers. It's the NCL way of preventing the spread of any germs/viruses throughout the ship.

Being our cruise on the Jewel last year was tainted due to a noro breakout and one in our party was quarantined for 2-days, I'm not happy to hear this. Unfortunately, many folks will NOT wash their hands. :(

You just have to see how many people do not wash their hands after using the public toilet to know that it is a bad idea.

On the TA I thought there should be even more sanitizer globes. I missed them partly at the buffet entrance coming from the elevators and more important throughout the casino. For me there can not be enough of them throughout the ship.

Brilliant move, with weird stuff going on in Asia. Let me check, is the noro threat reduced now? hmmmmmm Seems like pennies on the dollar to keep the news of a stricken ship out of the headlines, esp. these Carny fun days.

Bring washy washy back. I love their greeting and smile when I walk into the cafe. Plus, I think their presence helps in getting passengers to sanitize their hands. I always go back to them for another squirt after I handle the serving utensils, as I have seen way too many passengers refuse the washy washy. No big deal, I will just find a dispensing machine instead.:)

It was my perception that the sinks were in addition to hand sanitizer to step-up their efforts to keep a clean ship.

I saw several people on the TA using the sinks and I did not feel that there was an absence of hand-sanitizers.

Could always use the "washy-washy" people too though to catch people trying to blow by the sanitizers!
