Does anyone know if you need timed tickets to see the goal or the titanic? Also, are taxis available at these places and how far are each from cruise port? Thanks

We are also wondering how to combine Titantic with other sightseeing. Are you able to pick up a taxi at the Titantic Experience to get back?

We have been told that taxis are available at the Titanic area and there is also bus service into the city centre.

You will be able to see the Titanic museum from the ship, you'll be docked across the harbour from it. There are taxis at the cruise ship terminal and at Titanic. It's a short ride from Titanic to the Crumlin Road gaol, 5 - 10 minutes. You'll have no problems getting taxis anywhere in Belfast.

The gaol is only a 5 - 10 minute ride from your ship. You should have some time available after visiting both to walk around the city centre.

Hey, you'll have no problem doing all of these in the one day if you use Taxis. There are two big Taxi Companies (Uber is there too but not massive as it is in other places).

It should only cost around £5-6 for a taxi to Titanic from the port. From Titanic to Crumlin Road Prison (Gaol) it will be around £8.

Public transport is good too but to be honest, for the handiness and you aren't saving that much money - I'd go with a taxi. Don't spend a fortune on ship tours. It is so easy to do.

You could also ask the taxi to go via the Peace Wall when you are visiting Crumlin Road.

Do you need pre-booked tickets for titanic? Has anyone ever gone and been turned away? What about for the gaol? Is the gaol worth going to?

When we went to the Titanic we didn't pre-book. It appeared that no one had as we were in a line with others to pay the entrance fee. The line moved very quickly, it was only a couple of minutes from walking in to starting the tour.

They do limit the number of daily admissions to the Titanic and on a day where there are larger cruise ships it would be quite possible to be turned away if you hadn't pre-purchased tickets. We did the full White Star package and it took us over seven hours including 30 minutes for lunch. It we just did the exhibit it would have been about five hours. The tour was well worth it, but you wouldn't want to do the tour without the exhibit.

We were wiped out after the Titanic exhibit and no way we could have also visited the Gaol that day--that was another 90 minutes plus travel time.

Both were excellent, but given the choice we would chose the Titanic. It was so very well done.

Really depends on how long you want to spend in the Titanic Museum. We only spent about 2 hours in it. The tour of the Gaol takes about an hour. Travel time from ship to Titanic - 10mins. Titanic to Gaol 15/20 mins and back to ship 15 mins if you are doing it by taxi. I'd prebook both.

I would recommend purchasing tickets for the Titanic Museum ahead of time and on line.

Do allow a couple of hours there at a minimum.

Another option would be to taxi to the Titanic (first tour is 9:00 am and is an early bird discount if purchase online) and then catch the HOHO (about £11) which leaves from there every half hour and will take you to the Crumlin Road Gaol.
