There were six ships in Venice on our first port day. When you add in the regular day trippers, it was really packed. Fortunately a couple of the ships were the smaller ones.
The second day wasn't...

Red face mistake in the message

The Celebrity Rep may have misunderstood, thinking you were referring to checks (cheques) presented by travelers, that is cruisers. Since Travelers Checks are so rarely used these days, it would not...

Try Celebrity

I know this is a RCL Forum, but Celebrity ships have totally smoke free casinos. It doesn't make losing money any better but it certainly is more enjoyable. Very few smoking sites on Celebrity...

I put a small photo of us on the door. It is in a magnetic frame that you can buy in the craft stores. I do it because my other half doesn't always pay attention to the door numbers.
So this way...

Connie Roll Call Dec. 21

We're also on this Dec. 21 Constellation cruise. There is a roll call for it, so come on over and get acquainted. I love cruising at holiday time, very festive, beautiful decorations. Great for...

There is a limited number of days before you sail to order. I believe it is about 50 days out. I know that for my Nov.20 cruise I can order my tags on Sept. 28. When they are available for order...

I like those

I like those slot machines with games, too But they seem to be less common now.
The last few ships I've been on have had very few of them. I like them because they add a little 'extra' interest...

recent Constellation

I was on the Constellation this past June and all was fine. In fact, it is one of my favorite Celebrity ships. Food and service excellent and the ship is well taken care of. Ten days in the...

Another choice

I have used Park N Fly (PNF.com) at Port Everglades many times. Good prices, good service, very close to port. When you reserve, make certain you select Port not airport.
I have another...

Hertz port everglades

There is a separate Hertz office for the port. This is not the airport location. Be sure you pick the right one for the reservation, probably best to do on the phone.

Make a reservation to rent a car from Hertz. Tell them you are coming to Ft Lauderdale by cruise ship. They have a van that will pick you up and take you to rental office. No extra fee except I...

St. Martin

I suggest the town of Marigot on the French side of St.Maarten/St.Martin. Easy to get a taxi from your ship's port. Nice restaurants, some French shopping and a market on the bay front. I stay...

American style Mah Jongg

The Mah Jongg games on board ships are the American style or version of the Chinese games. I have played both and the ones on board are the kind Americans play. Also the actual game bears no...

Aft balconies

You also asked about the aft balconies: These are my favorite cabins. I've been on several on the S class ships. And have a reservation for one on the Equinox in November. The balconies may not...

It seemed easy

Even a short flight can be a problem. We were taking a flight out of Miami to Europe and flying to Miami from Orlando, near where we lived at the time. Cruise was from Barcelona and we were flying...

Bathroom stuff

Yes, there is a clothesline in the shower. Yes the hair dryer is in the drawer by the vanity: I don't use it often but it is competent when needed. I too use the balcony for most hair drying when...

Captain's Club host was Graeme. Very friendly, humorous. Always remembered names.
This was June 21-31.

One of the nice things about Select dining is the options. Not only eat when you want but how many you'd like to eat with. Some nights you might want to eat with just the two of you, other nights...

Hertz Hotel

Probably Marriott - as I said I wasn't sure which hotel it was. Which ever address you got is the one, something like 2nd street? It is closest to the port.
Have fun.

another choice

I have used Park N Fly many times for cruises out of Ft Lauderdale. When you make an online reservation, pick Ft Lauderdale port, NOT Ft. Lauderdale airport. Good rates and good service.
