Yep, this is what I'd pick, by far. 5 days seem so short. I'd go with a balcony if it is affordable to you. Also, one port in Mexico is enough.

We've made a 10:30 flight in FLL before, but I wouldn't recommend it, especially since your docking time is 8:00--ours was earlier. You'd definitely better plan on walking off at the earliest time...

We don't take our passports ashore. For the very few ports where you are required to bring the passport, the ship will make sure you know that in advance. We haven't had to so far in Latin America....
