I have used Value Trips four times and never had a problem. They do advertise black out dates on their site so look at those before trying to book. The hotel is very nice.

I always buy trip insurance right after booking my cruises in order to have pre-existing conditions covered. I usually book anywhere from a year to a year and a half ahead.
