We stopped at Flam several years ago and went on an excursion that went to a fabulous waterfalls. It included the nice bus ride through the country and was much less expensive.

As I remember it from several years ago the music was very loud. We were several beaches down where we rented chairs and had to listen to the music, but at least at a distance it was bearable.

Or change to a flight the next day and stay overnight one night in Rome. If you can get a mid to late afternoon flight you can have a day and a half to tour Rome.

I would not want to change once I am on the ship. I would be willing to change before the cruise if I can look at the deck plans and see that it is a comparable cabin. A small comp would be nice.

Any possibility of changing the itinerary to one in Europe. Also, RCCL may be more forgiving if you spend more money. Or if that doesn't work, maybe offer to let them give you a choice of less booked...

Like I said, we did this in Dover and in Venice. In Dover they had us come into the office and they x-rayed the luggage. The only thing I remember about Venice is the dropoff was far from the ship....
