Hertz port everglades

There is a separate Hertz office for the port. This is not the airport location. Be sure you pick the right one for the reservation, probably best to do on the phone.

Make a reservation to rent a car from Hertz. Tell them you are coming to Ft Lauderdale by cruise ship. They have a van that will pick you up and take you to rental office. No extra fee except I...

St. Martin

I suggest the town of Marigot on the French side of St.Maarten/St.Martin. Easy to get a taxi from your ship's port. Nice restaurants, some French shopping and a market on the bay front. I stay...

American style Mah Jongg

The Mah Jongg games on board ships are the American style or version of the Chinese games. I have played both and the ones on board are the kind Americans play. Also the actual game bears no...

Aft balconies

You also asked about the aft balconies: These are my favorite cabins. I've been on several on the S class ships. And have a reservation for one on the Equinox in November. The balconies may not...

It seemed easy

Even a short flight can be a problem. We were taking a flight out of Miami to Europe and flying to Miami from Orlando, near where we lived at the time. Cruise was from Barcelona and we were flying...

Bathroom stuff

Yes, there is a clothesline in the shower. Yes the hair dryer is in the drawer by the vanity: I don't use it often but it is competent when needed. I too use the balcony for most hair drying when...

Yes

One of the nice things about Select dining is the options. Not only eat when you want but how many you'd like to eat with. Some nights you might want to eat with just the two of you, other nights...

Clinique

I was on Connie in late June this year in the Med.. They did sell Clinique but I found limited colors in makeup. I am a redhead, so use some less common colors. They did offer some nice...

Smile Constellation in Adriatic

A few weeks ago, my daughter and I did the Adriatic 10 day trip on the Constellation. It was a wonderful trip with many interesting ports, esp Montenegro and Croatia. The ship is fine, a little...

Hertz Hotel

Probably Marriott - as I said I wasn't sure which hotel it was. Which ever address you got is the one, something like 2nd street? It is closest to the port.
Have fun.

Best souvenir I ever got

The best thing I bought while away was a hand-made Chinese rug. I watched it being made, they shipped it home and it hangs on the wall in our bedroom. I signed the back when I bought to be sure I...

another choice

I have used Park N Fly many times for cruises out of Ft Lauderdale. When you make an online reservation, pick Ft Lauderdale port, NOT Ft. Lauderdale airport. Good rates and good service.

If there are two of you, I suggest taking the black one and the smaller purple one Should be
enough for a one-week trip. Limit the number of shoes -- they take up too much room. If more than one...

What I do in Miami

I use Hertz rental cars: in Miami you drop them off in the city, at a hotel site. I think the hotel may be the Embassy Suites. Hertz has a free shuttle to the port or you can take a taxi which is...

We like tables for 6-8 but not set dining times. We have found over the years that most times the set tables are not full, often sitting alone at table for 6 or more. So we like the My time dining...

Usually, and I emphasize that, the MDR is not open for lunch. Try the fee optional Bistro on 5. Much less frantic than the upstairs 'cafeteria' and the food and service are very nice. The price is...
