All Things Splendor

Recommended Posts

I apologize if this has been answered before, but I've grown tired of reading page after page of info. (although it's great info!).

Where is the laundry room on the Splendor and what are the costs? I cannot find it anywhere on my deck plan.

Thanks so much!

This deck plan site is awesome!

You can see where everything is, see pics of areas and it has a search tool.

Puerto Vallarta question....We are thinking about booking the Dune Buggy Adventure (from Johann and Sandra). The first one starts at 9:30 AM. We are due in port at 9AM. How does that work regarding ship time versus port time? Could we make it?

You will not make it. Splendor is one hour behind PV time so you will be in port at 9am ship time which is really 10 am PV time.

7. Finally, I saw the link for the menus a few pages ago, but could someone post a link for the recent (sorry, I forgot what they are called) - they were called the Navigator on disney. The papers that tell you what's happening each day.

Thanks for the help and indulging my many questions...we are SOOOOO excited!

We were on the Splendor for the Halloween Cruise last year and had a fabulous time. In my signature is the review that includes the Fun Times (on Page 4).

Thanks Bonnie. I thought that might be the case. I guess we'll book the 2pm tour. Since it stops at a tequila factory for tasting, it's probably better to do that in the later afternoon anyway. ;)

Has anyone else done the Dune Buggy Adventure?

I would like to know where they have the Chefs Table on the Splendor. Is it in the Galley or ??? How did you enjoy it? We have done several CT's including the 1st one on the Magic inaugural, which was amazing..

I would also like to know where this is. Is it similar to the STEAKHOUSE? Does one have dinner with the captain?

Would like to get one more in before the SPLENDOR leaves us for the east coast. Beautiful ship.

We just booked the Splendor for this upcoming September. I'm kind of nervous about Hurricanes during this time...but I know Mexico doesn't experience that many hurricanes...so we took the chance and booked it b/c the price was low. Has anyone else sailed to Mexico in September and had any problems?

We had to skip one of the ports on our August Splendor cruise due to a hurricane. We were given on board credit and a discount towards a future cruise. We already had a cruise booked so we applied it to that booking and paid almost nothing!:D

Hi friends, we're sailing on April 22nd to PV and Cabo and want to know about the dancing on board. We are hoping for a few dress up nights with ballroom and/or latin dancing like the tango, bachata, and cha cha etc.

Can someone tell us about the dancing?

Thanks!

There is dancing in the atrium area for sure. I have seen people dressed up and dancing every night. Carnival is pretty good about having live music in different venues. Bring your dancing shoes!

The show band plays in El Morocco on the first formal night and usually once or twice after that. You can also dance there during Superstar live if you can stomach some of the singers.

They used to have a latin band in the Robusto Cigar Lounge. That has been converted to Karaoke, but I think the Latin Band is now in the Cool Lounge next to El Morocco.

Sometimes the Calpyso band plays the promenade by the Casino.

My girlfriend and I are booked in May for the Splendor. We got one of the aft cat 9a cabins. Anybody know how good it is or stayed in one of the aft cabins? Hope everybody has a fabulous day :)

Guess that means no sleep as I am one deck below this. Maybe I should take that balcony upgrade.

As I recall the SPLENDOR DANCERS hold a big Hoe Down on the atrium floor just below the JUMBOTRON (MUTS screen) on one night of the cruise. Its a giggle. :D

Hello everyone!

We sail in 2 weeks (woohoo!) and I wonder if anyone has tips on embarking at Long Beach. What's the best time to get there...are there any tips on where to go, sit, bring, etc? We have a friend dropping us off so we won't need to worry about parking.

Also, I know you can bring a small cooler on board with drinks. We have 3 adults together, is it OK to bring all the drinks in the one cooler?

THanks! :)

Registration is in the Plaza outside of the dome (unless you are P;atinum, which is in a separate VIP lounge). You'll be given your S & S card & your Zone card. Just wait outside the dome until your zone is called. If you get there early (before 10am), you can get a good parking spot, come after noon, the zones will have been called & you should be allowed into the dome to sign in at the counters.

As for your drinkks, it shouldn't be a problrem. Just tell them you're all together & make sure you're not separated when you go through security.
