My Partner and I just booked the Summit out of San Juan in March, 2014. We hope to meet other gay travelers on this cruise.

There is also the regular roll call and we hope to have a great Sail Away Party.

We look forward to hearing from you. :)

We thought by now we would have some other travelers on our sailing for Spring Break. It was a tad early that I originally posted - so this is just a little refresher posting.

We look forward to meeting others on our sailing... :)

Hi Neil, I've already replied to the other Roll Call thread (the main thread?) for the March 22nd Summit Cruise, however it's good to find you here! My husband and I just booked last week. We're looking very forward to the trip. Hope to meet you and your partner in person.

Brad (and Jeff).

nytenor -Brad and Jeff - We are originally from NY, but have been down here in FL for quite a while. We are glad you found us here on CC. We could not believe we were the only ones on the ship. :p We usually meet other couples and singles on-board. We really like Celebrity the best and Princess comes in second. Many gay people like NCL - it was not for us. We like wearing our tuxes and like the well dressed crowd. Food and service is excellent on Celebrity. You both will have a great time.

We have been on the sister ship of Summit (Millie) 4x and that is why we are flying to PR; we usually go out of Port Everglades (30 mins from our house) or Miami (1 hour away) -but we took the $400 toward air and it is only costing us $54PP RT...

We look forward to meeting you both. Only 67 more days until sail away... I wrote you a longer note in the main roll call...

See you soon... Keep warm...:)

Oh, I lived in Rochester, NY for almost 10 years, moved to Boston a few years back. Thanks for all the great insight. Looking forward to meeting you.

nytenor - Brad and Jeff - You need to find warmer places to live...:p Glad we could be helpful on the information.

Do you ever get down to S. FL for vacation?

We look forward to meeting you both also.

RE:"Do you ever get down to S. FL for vacation?"

Funny you should mention it, both us have family who have Winter homes in the Ft. Myers area and who are always asking us to visit. We really need to take them up on it one of these days.

We're arriving in San Juan two days prior to the cruise. Given your experience in vacationing, can you recommend some activities in addition to Old San Juan that are "you really should see/do this..." type activities?

Many, many thanks,

Brad (& Jeff)

nytenor - Brad and Jeff - You really need to take your family up on those invites...:)

We are flying the day of the cruise - good that you can have a couple of days before the cruise.

It is nice to visit the Old Fort (in Old San Juan) and there is shopping on the main streets too, but somewhat on the pricey side, no bargains. Wear sneakers, as it is somewhat hilly in OSJ. We went to the beach last time we were there. Condado beach and area is also very nice. Old San Juan gets generally quiet and a little "rough" around the edges after 6:00PM, as most of the shops close. Use your Bostonian good judgment when walking around the area at night.

Check out Gay San Juan on-line for Bars and Restaurants in Old San Juan across from where the daily cruise ships dock (ours will probably be in a different port area, as our cruise is originating in San Juan) is the Wyndam Hotel that has a nice Casino.

Speak to you soon... Neil :)

Hi Brad and Jeff:

Hope you are doing okay in that frigid/snowy weather. It has been cold here too in S. FL. This morning it is in the 40's and the 30's just to our north.

Hang in there... A nice warm vacation will be here soon.

Take care and keep warm..:)

Thanks for checking in.

Yeah, weather here is nuts. That being said, it's still 25 degrees COLDER (-14 vs 10 in Boston) at my parent's home in Wisconsin. That's non-wind chill mind you. March can't get here soon enough.

All the best,

Brad (& Jeff)

nytenor - We are ready to go.... I know you both are with all of that weather this winter...

Hi Guys....my friends and I will be sailing in the Summit on the 22nd....we are looking forward to a great vacation. Hope to meet you on board.

Michael32835 - So glad you can join us. I see you are from FL too. What part? Have you joined the regular roll call, as we are having a Sail Away party at the Mast Bar at 4:30PM. We will be wearing beads and leis to recognize each other. There are about 70 people coming. We hope you can make it... It is usually a lot of fun... The regular roll call has a lot of great information and I am the "keeper" of the listing of CC members...

Look forward to meeting you both...:)
