Sea sickness medication

Recommended Posts

I went on a carnival cruise about 10 years ago. At that time they gave away free sea sickness pills. I had taken gravol and that didn't work. Whatever they handed out worked really well. I'm going on a cruise next year and would like to buy some of this medication but have no idea what it was. Any idea?

Chances are it was meclizine. Sold in the US as Bonine.

You may be thinking of meclizine which is the generic of bonine.

Some states in U.S. sell it over the counter but Massachusetts requires an Rx.

Some ships give it away at infirmary and front office.
