Great work on the wine list, thanks Largin. Certainly Princess wines are more reasonably priced than on Celebrity Solstice from which I disembarked a week or so ago.

Thanks for the update.

Glad to know that what I had printed out from your 2012 list is still (mostly) the same for our cruise starting tomorrow on the Star! Now keeping fingers crossed that they offer the wine packages :D.

It appears the exceptions are in the Sommelier's Selections and the large format bottles. Also looks like they re-categorized some.

I enjoy the Nobilo S. Blanc which I can buy for $11-$12 at my local liquor store. It is so good with shrimp and scallops.

We also enjoy the Korbel sparkling wine which we can purchase for $12-$14 locally. It's good with everything!

We bought the Dom P. once for our anniversary and it was more expensive at our local store.

Also love Kendall Jackson reds.

It is good to hear we can buy these wines on ship.

Thanks for your update....

can you recommend a medium to sweet white wine ?

Gewurztraminer, Michel Leon $32

The late-harvest Sauvignon Blanc would fall closer to the "sweet" side of the scale and the Gewurtztraminer would fall closer to the "medium" side of the scale.

Note that the Sommelier's Specials vary ship to ship.

Also the producer for the Chateauneuf-du-pape is Serabel. A steal for $31, despite the 2011 vintage.

I was surprised to find that most of the higher end wines had some age to them - for example:

2006 Luce Della Vita $79

2006 Don Maximiano, Founder's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $85

2005 Mount Veeder Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $65

Vintages are not printed on the wine list so they can swap out vintages without reprinting the list.

Do those prices include the 15% gratuity?.

Even if they do not they seem to be reasonable.

However, as an Aussie, the labels dont mean a lot to me/

Is it the same wine list on the cruises out of Australia?

Let me add to the chorus of Thanks! - this is very useful to me.

The meritage reds are nice finds, that *is* a bargain on the CduP, and I'm left lamenting the lack of interesting new-world unoaked Chard.

Thanks for the list, its helpful, and making me very thirsty at 11:30 am....however, my question is: Is there such a thing as paring a red wine with seafood like lobster or scallops or even a light fish? I'm not a fan of white wines. Any recommendations?

Thanks for re-posting the list. I hope it reminds everyone that compared to other lines and to shore-based restaurants, these are very decent prices. It's not the same as buying at the store and shouldn't be thought of that way.

I am glad to see several more French Champagnges back on the list, especially the Veuve Cliquot, which was absent for a while!
