Default My Qsine Food Photos (8 Nov 11 on the Eclipse)

I'm back from the Eclipse TA. Great cruise despite some rough seas and a change in our itinerary.

I just went through my photos. Took about 2,500. Started editing the food shots. Here's my set for Qsine. Enjoy and don't drool too much. What a great night! So many delicious choices. I can't wait to dine there again. I have my favorites I want to eat again.

http://www.******************.com/Cruises/Eclipse-2011-Cruise-Food/20065557_C7NbV8#1582277684_XQWdHXp

Now, back to more photo editing and posting.

Monica

Great photos . Which ports were changed in your itinerary? I will be on the same cruise next year, but the only port I really don't want to miss is le havre.

We were on the same cruise and I have to say Qsine was an amazing place and our waitress Charnae was the best! We arranged a group of 6 and went early in the cruise. Later on we went again since we couldn't possibly try everything we wanted to. We repeated one favorite and took lots of photos.

Hi Monica,
Thanks for posting so soon after your return (thanks for your cabin report too).
One of the main reasons we are sailing on Eclipse is Qsine. Your photos are great and really make me wish for the next few weeks to fly by!
How was the entertainment on board?

Tony and I didn't go to all of the shows but the ones we did were very good. In fact, it seemed quite an improvement on Celebrity where I found some of the past entertainment to be blah. We had a ventriloquist, Garth Oliver, who was fantastic. http://www.garetholiver.com/.

There was a crew international show that was intertaining. One woman had an incredible singing voice, another one who danced, and one who couldn't sing that well but was tons of fun.

The Beyond the Podium Marine Serieswas great. We had Professor Alan Dowty who had 6-7 talks on: Trans-Atlantic Contact before Columbus, Magellan: First Time Around, Columbus Goes West, The Legendary Captain Cook, Mutiny on the Bounty, John Franklin's Lost Expedition, etc. Very informative and he kept your attention, even with his horrible puns.

There was also Niegl West who had the Espionage Series. Lots of people liked him but without visuals, he lost me with how he presented his talk.

Monica

Thanks so much Monica. We were on the Eclipse a year ago and this brought back such great memories. And for those new to Quisine you will still be surprised. Believe it or not Monica's group did not try everything and I spotted at least two new treats that were not on the menu last November. I am sure they add new items from time to time.

All I can say to others, GO. Even the pickiest of eaters will find lots to like.

Hi Monica,

Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos with us. I haven't been on a Celebrity ship with Qsine yet... but I can't wait to sample her menu. Definitely on my "Must do" list for 2012 !

Sorry if my posting of the photos disappointed some of you (or one of you). My thread subject title was straight forward. I've seen other postings online of Qsine food (other web sites).

The photo of the "surprise" food item at the end of the meal was not posted to my web site knowing people should enjoy the suprise. However, it may be different for your meal. We loved it.

While the food looked funky and fun, it's not 'unusual' food. The lamb chops were incredible. The seviche was one of my favorites, the spring rolls were delicious, the chicken skewers - grilled, etc.

Your waitress/waiter will help you through the menu to ensure you have a good variety and not order too much. Definitely go with a minimum of 6 but no more than 8...in my opinion.

We made reservations in advance for 12 people. We ended up with 8 in the end. I called the morning of the dinner reservations to inform the staff of the change in numbers. Very easy to deal with and accommodating. However, we never received final invitations in our cabin, but I did have confirmation.

The two ports we missed were Vigo Spain and the Azores. We were supposed to have a day at sea in the middle of these two ports but the captain changed to: Gijon and La Caruna with the sea day after the two ports, giving us 7 sea days rather than 6. This allowed the ship to be 'inside' a safer sea area than out in the Altantic and Azores during the rough seas.

Monica

PS: I hope to add more photos this week. I wanted to post the Qsine as some upcoming cruise friends wanted to see them.

Thanks Monica, loved looking at your photos. This thread has helped to persuade me to do Qsine instead of Murano on my upcoming Silhouette cruise!
