Exclamation Post CRUISE LINE Single Supplement/Solo Bargains HERE

A thread for single supplement/solo bargains is very helpful for solo cruisers.

There used to be one, but it disappeared ...maybe it got too big.

So let's start another one and see what happens.

Post all those great deals everyone!

But remember, you can't mention specific travel agencies, just general info like:
"Cruise line .... currently has good prices for solo occupancy on .... sailing".

Can't Wait:
Nothing Booked !!

Can't Forget (Every cruise is Great; but good-n-bad impressions):
2012/10 NCL Sky - HALLOWEEN getaway / private island cancelled (Sky is famous for often cancelling) / "Oh What A Night" best ship show yet (4nt Miami-Bahamas)
2010/12 Celebrity Summit: X abandoned their "better food" niche; now below-average food / No unobstructed forward viewing on entire ship / sorry X, but other lines and ships are better (7nt Southern Caribbean)
2009/09 Sapphire Princess: New Favorite!: Multi-tiered resort-like aft / heated freshwater pools & jacuzzis / full circumference promenade w teak deck chairs & bow access / better food / better activities / classy style (3nt "check out Princess" Vancouver, BC, to Los Angeles)
2009/08 Carnival Elation: Great viewing area on top of Bridge / Good mini-golf / zero MDR dress code enforcement / many theatre seats have poor view (5nt Baja redirected due to hurricane Jimena)
2009/04 Carnival Splendor: Good food / Best lobster / several design flaws (5nt Baja Mexico)
2008/12 RCI Serenade of the Seas: See Radiance below (7nt Eastern & Southern Caribbean)
2008/10 Carnival Elation: Aft outdoor dining / Rockin' live music (5nt Baja Mexico)
2008/02 RCI Voyager: Nice Outdoor Promenade w Bow access / Ice show / Huge pool area / way-too-Crowded Buffet w No outdoor dining (7nt Western Caribe)
2007/09 NCL Pride of Aloha: Beautiful decor / 3rd Best ship design yet / Best itinerary yet (11nt in Hawaii & nothing like it now! )
2006/12 RCI Radiance Of the Seas: Best atrium / perfect size / full circumference promenade w bow access / Buffet has aft outdoor dining / RCI's best design (8nt Eastern Caribbean)
2006/02 Carnival Pride: Great Bed / Lower decks aft vibrate (7nt Mexican Riviera)
2005/03 Celebrity Infinity: Best Food by far when X had Michel Roux (but no longer, see Summit above) / nice thalassotherapy adult pool (4nt Coastal Pacific)

Default Booked NCL Jewel Oct 28 - 0% Single Supplement

Just found out about the 0% single supplement for the NCL Jewel on its 12 day repo cruise from NYC to Miami, so I'm taking the plunge and doing my first solo cruise since becoming a widower. Certainly can't beat the price.

Anyone else going?

Default diving

Hello redlef!
I am also a diver. I am also a teacher which restricts my cruising times. When I am out of school the prices are the highest. bummer.
Hoping to cruise a 3 day Bahama in Dec. or Jan.

Default Celebrity

I am traveling solo on Celebrity Century April 3, 2010. Its only about 150% supplement. for 2 it's $345 per person. Only $560 for single cruiser. Still not bad to me for a 5 night cruise. I am a teacher too and can only travel on break and was shocked when this coincided with my break.

I was looking at this same cruise, but I'm finding airfare to be the problem for me, really high because of Easter.

Default Owners Suite on the NCL Spirit

Owners Suite on the NCL Spirit (a smaller sized ship). Got it for one person for 7 days NOLA schedule in Dec 2011 for $4800. Paying for a second person who will not be there But it comes with solo cruising sometimes.

Take care,

Wow! I won't say it's a great deal, but Spirit is my favorite cruiseship. Military must pay more than I thought....lol!

Not necessarily solo bargains, just great bargains, Period! Celebrity Century 4 days Nov. 18 from Miami, single inside $279. Celebrity Summit repo Bayonne to San Juan Oct. 24 (6 nights): OV $459. I got what I thought was a good rate on the next week, Oct. 30 from San Juan, and prices dropped so I now have a balcony for $60 more. EM

Celebrity Century four night leaving on November 18 has inside single rates under $400. including taxes and port fees (residency rate). This is cheaper than what I paid for 4 nights on Monarch of the Seas and there's no comparison.

Does anyone have any good discounts for an Alaskan cruise? The best solo rate I found was around 1,100. I need something a little cheaper.
