Hi everyone! Zumba is harder than it looks. I think I have two left feet with Bozo shoes attached. It's not so bad when he does the really slow explanation..then he says the dreaded word."RAPIDO". I actually tripped over my own foot and fell flat on my padded fanny!. I have a friend who takes dance classes and she is going to check it out and attempt to teach me. Good grief. So, for now it is Richard Simmons and Denise Austin for me.

I'll let you know if I get any better at this.

LOL - you'll have to do like I am doing. I've taken one dance step and worked on in a few days and then add the next one. I feel comfortable with 4 of the 6 - although that's not saying how "good I look". When it gets faster, I find that I do better not to look at the tv screen and just go at my own pace. When I try to speed up plus look at them, I get all confused.

Richard Simmons - yeap that's my speed too. The Denise Austin one I bought is too hard for me. LOL

At least you guys are trying! I had trouble with the "Sabor" step when I first got into it. The rest of the Salsa part wasn't bad but when I tried that one, of course I tried to get fancy first thing and shimmy my hips during the taps and that threw me for a loop. I remember getting so frustrated that I'd stomp and holler at the tv LOL Maybe it's easier for me because I've been dancing since I could walk and cheerleading since I was 11, I dunno but it's just one of those things that the more you practice and work at it, the more it becomes like second nature. Keep working!! You guys will get the hang of it in no time

Jennifer,

It's quiet over here. Need to be "Purpletrogdor" to move over to the other board with us. Hey, Purple, come over to "30 days to New Years" thread - lots of chatter and support over there - daily. We would love to have you stop in and hopefully stay. Just post and say "Marlene & Jennifer sent me over" and I promise you will get a warm welcome. Right Jennifer? And we do weekly weigh ins on Wednesdays.

Marlene

When people ask me the success of my weight loss, I always include the board support that I get every day to stay focused. So Troggie, next time you check in here, check in over at the other one. Remember: 30 Days to New Years. AND we will be there throughout 2009 cause we haven't lost all our weight yet!

Holy smokes it's been awhile!
How's everybody doing over here????
I've lost a total of 33 lbs since I stared so that's pretty darn good! Zumba is awesome :P Cruise leaves Sunday. I was supposed to get my hair done today but the bank didn't release DH's check like they said they would so we're waiting to hear back from them as to WHY the money isn't available. I don't understand why banks even hold checks..Anybody know? Or is it just to peeve me off because it's working really well right now!
Hope all of you had a great Christmas and New year
