Default Smoking Policy

I can't find this on the Regent web site.

What is the policy about smoking? cabins? indoors?
public areas? dining room? cigarettes? cigars? pipes?
not allowed?

Les

Les,

Here's the smoking policy FAQ from the web site. (http://www.rssc.com/cruisequestions/...9-61b64195636b) Hope this helps.

Cigerette Smoking
Cabins - No
Balconies - No
Dining Rooms - No
Casino - Yes
Smoking Lounge - Yes
Bars - Limited to selected area
Pool Deck - Limited to selected area on one side of ship
Pipes and cigars were even more restrictive being limited to smoking lounge and small area in stern of ship I believe

A fairly strict policy that seemed to be pretty well enforced in our experience on Mariner and Voyager

On our two cruises on the Mariner, smoking in the casino was restricted to the casino bar area. There was no smoking at the tables or, presumably, at the slot machines.

as far as I know there is still smoking allowed at the pool bar, a popular gathering place. Also smoking allowed in the rear of Voyager Lounge and the outside of Horizon's Lounge.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

There was a negative comment on the Oceania boards
comparing smoking policy and formal requirement between
Regent and Oceania.

I'm hopeful that the formal requirement will be lifted and
the smoking policy seems perfectly reasonable.

Don't hold your breath about the formal requirement (although do vote in the poll that's currently being held on this board if you have an opinion--casual is winning!) But with the much larger standard cabins on Regent, you can easily have room service on formal night, with the full Compass Rose menu available.
