Not really. I wish. It kind of depends if they could "pass" as being something other than jeans. I have a pair of brown ones, for example, that might, but have not tried.

I would have to agree with Wendy....and yes the brown ones just might work but not blue ones.
Happy cruising.... |

It could work, however, the dress code is really specific about not wearing jeans. You could not only be asked to leave La Veranda, but the lounges as well. We just don't pack any type of jeans so that we aren't tempted to wear them.

And some people thought this subject was now closed.

There will always be questions to be answered. Isn't that what we are here for?

Wripro......not until the nudists chime in!
TC....But if the line clearly states 'no jeans', what is the question? |

I have worn jeans in La Veranda once after 6 pm, but it was a unique situation---we were in Honningsvag and everyone didn't get back from the North Cape excursion (clearly a jeans type of trip) till about 8 pm. So La Veranda was totally packed with lots of people wearing jeans and other casual, but warm, clothing.
Normally, I would not consider wearing jeans of any type after 6 pm in La Veranda. |

We wore jeans in the main dining room on the Mariner once, as it was the first night and the airline had delayed our luggage. We always fly in jeans, so there you go. Lots of guests' luggage was delayed, so the first evenings dress code was pretty much "whatever". But excepting such emergency-type situations, jeans and shorts are generally taboo in public areas after 6:00 PM.
Regent's new dress code for next year really bends over backwards to give us a casual yet elegant cruise. Jeans are still generally a no-no in the evening. I think that may be because nobody knows how to draw the line between elegant designer jeans and my "oil change" jeans. And it gets more difficult, because some very high-dollar designer jeans look like replicas of my "oil change" jeans. |

The expression "elegant designer jeans" is an oxymoron that ranks right up there with "jumbo shrimp" and "elegant casual" dress code.

My jeans have crystals instead of rivets. They really are quite cute. Just wished they still fit!

Thanks for the answers everybody. It's what I thought and I'm ok with it, and so is my wife. Just wanted to be sure. And you are right--less to pack (or you would think so anyway!).
