Driving a car in Aruba

We will be in Aruba on Christmas day. We are thinking to rent a car (not Jeep) to drive around. Three questions,

1)Is it easy to navigate around by a car in Aruba?
2)Can we see the lighthouse and Nartural bridge and be back to the cruise terminal in three hours?
3)Are gas stations open on Christmas day?

Yes, drive on the right as in the US.

Did you find a car rental agency open on Christmas? If so I would ask them.

Thanks, Lisa. I called Thrift Rental and they said they are open on Christmas day, but are not sure about gas stations.

Will Thrifty pick up at the pier? I know they're open on Christmas Day because that's when we're renting too. I'm just trying to figure out how we call them to pick us up.

This is the e-mail from Thrifty Rental:

"As to the hours of our booth at the Cruise Terminal, this will be dictated by the amount of Cruise Ships and reservations we have.
Your vehicles, once confirmed will be at our booth at the Cruise terminal, just north of the arrival area. In the unlikely event that the booth is not open at the time of your arrival, we would appreciate if you could take the brisk 3 blocks walk to the lower lobby of the Renaissance Resort (Marina Tower). This walk takes you along our beautiful waterfront area and downtown malls.
You may return the vehicle at any time before your departure and instructions will be provided as to the return policies and the location of the Drop Box."

Sorry - meant to say will Budget pick you up at the airport?

We just cancelled our Thrifty Aruba Jeep rental. They were running a special at $90 if you booked on the internet, but Budget has a price at almost half that through Costco. It's a slightly different vehicle (a compact SUV), which works for us.
