Default Has anyone been sailing with Vallarta Adventures?

Trying to decide what to do in P.V. The sailing trip sounds great, but so does the Las Marietas Eco Discovery tour. Would love to hear your comments on either of these adventures.

The very best tour in PV is rythems of the night, I am sure it was with Vallarta Adventures. Have also gone swimming with the dolphens with them. They have a very friendly well informed staff, air conditioned buses. The food and show at rythems of the night was great but the best part was the boat ride over to the show

Vallarta Adventures offers day-sail excursions on 44 & 50 foot Beneteau sailboats. Max capacity is roughly 15-18 passengers and we have never had more than a dozen aboard. http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/tours/sailing We have sailed with VA about a half dozen times.

A typical day starts with a continental breakfast as you motor up along the north coast to a cove/beach area west of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Passengers are given the opportunity to swim/snorkel/beach for a while, followed by lunch. The winds normally come up in late morning and you will sail on the bay during the afternoon (with open bar). Banderas Bay isn't the Caribbean ... no chrystal blue waters with ship wrecks or turtles. You may get to see dolphins and whales (during the whale season)

You can take the wheel and have the crew trim the sails or just lounge on the deck. The cockpit is large and has an ample bimini providing shade for those that want to get out of the sun.

Marilyn having a Titanic moment with the skipper.

This excursion is likely sold through your ship. (Vallarta Adventures is a major contractor to the cruise industry) You may have to pay the ship's price or attempt to book through an excursion broker like Johann & Sandra.

Can't help with the eco tour. We used to sail aboard a large party catamaran (Geronimo) to the Marietas years ago but switched to Vallarta Adventures as we became more involved in sailing back home.

Thank you for your informative reply! Did you swim to shore for the beach time?

Yes, you access to beach by swimming. They provide life jackets so people that aren't strong swimmers can "float" in. There is some underwater structure in the area to attract/hold fish. Water condition make for some OK snorkeling. The focus of this excursion is sailing. Swim/snorkel/beach is just a sideline activity.

The cove/beach we used last year. We dropped anchor about half way in from this point.

A pod of dolphins swim with us on the way north

Vallarta Adventures is a booking company- they do not provide the actual tours, they just book them. Be sure to ask them which company they are booking you with and then you will be able to get more info from this forum.

Vallarta Adventures is the excursion operator. They are the primary excursion operator, in Vallarta, contracted to the cruise industry. http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/

They ARE NOT a third party booking company! I believe you have them confused with Johann & Sandra's PuertoVallartaTours or VallartaOnline, who are third party tour brokers.

Rhythm of the Nights is highly recommended and Vallarta Adventures is one of the best tour operators in PV and offer a long list of fun adventures. There zip line tours are some of the best.
