Tequila Beach vs Pez Quadro

Visiting Costa Maya aboard the Carnival Glory on 11/18. Everything I reads leads me to believe it is a toss up of where to go between these two resorts. Both are in Mahahual. Are they close to one another (ie a 15 minute walk)? Is there a "pay as you go option" or is it strictly all inclusive per there web sites? Thanks in advance
