Question American or Bahamian

Is the monies used / given for the Jitneys to/from the Casinos in Bahamian and/or American Monies?

What gratuity is expected?

We used US dollars. $1.25/pp pay as you leave. We didn't tip just like I wouldn't tip a bus driver in NJ

Thumbs up

green eyed lady,

Thank you Ocean Lady!

In our Garden State, the Third State, Egg State, Horse State...Invention State, etc.. etc.. we sometimes do tip the Bus and Motorcoach drivers...

Where are you from Maam?

Here in this state we even tip our Fuel Fillers as only Two US States require they do that too.The other is OR.

Middlesex County but I don't tip my gas station attendant And yes I would tip a motorcoach driver if I was on a bus trip to AC, but I wouldn't tip a bus driver on NJ transit to Manhattan.

Exclamation

green eyed lady,

Well not Ocean but Middlesex Lady .

That one area of filling stations in those lower counties does still provide jobs as in all 21 of our counties.. about 18,000 in total just in that purpose.

They still are not even unionised which is hard to believe in the current legislative makeup.

NJ Transit is different .. the days of Public Service when they had those too now it ( PEG :NYSE ) is not having public vehicle transport other than electric, fluids and gas..

We spent 5 days at Atlantis a couple of weeks ago. American money is what you'll see the most of. I saw very little Bahamian money and it's equal in value so it's no big deal. We tip everyone especially in resort towns. There is a lot of poverty in the Bahamas.
