Sweet. It probably such less of a headache having to worry about smuggling it onboard. This way we can concentrate on smuggling the stuff on that we will need to mix the drinks with!

Is there something online to see what they have and what the prices are?

I looked and did not see prices. But the first post mentions calling them. Probably have to call for straight liqour. But I just googled carnival bon voyage shop or something like that.

You do have to call during Monday to Friday business hours. We got 2 one litre bottles of Stoli Vodka for $40.00 each.

I'm not sure why they don't make the prices available online but they don't. Call the bon voyage department at 1-800-522-7648 and they will let you know what is available and what the prices are. Rough estimate on most 1L bottles is $40. I believe the "Premium Brands" (Gray Goose Vodka for example) are a bit more.

We found both Captain's and Smirnoff in plastic 1.75l bottles.

If you put the bottles in a (clean of course) disposable diaper and then the double ziploc bags, in case of a leak/breakage the diaper will absorb most of the liquid and the ziploc bags will hold the rest. You won't ruin your clothes.

As you can tell I'm not a big drinker but do love to have my drinks while cruising.

I've been buying little bottles here and there of Grey Goose, Van Gogh, Malibu, whatever I feel I can shove into shoes in my luggage.

im sure there are several good reasons for this....one being that when you call, they can sorta make sure you are of age.....and my second theory is, if you make a list out there for everyone to see, then more and more people are going to pre purchase booze....while if they keep it hidden and require a phone call, then only seasoned cruisers and people on sites like this will know how to order it, thus keeping bar revenues up.....they know that those of us that have cruised before know alot of the secrets of getting booze onboard, so if they can snag a few of us with their high priced bottles then its a win for them. Thats why I buy from bon voyage, two bottles every cruise, then I smuggle a little of the stuff they dont offer through bon voyage, and still manage to spend hundreds of dollars at the bars. in fact just a couple weeks ago I orderd 18 sheets of bar coupons and a nice new shiny set of rum runners....everyone is happy

You can call Carnival Bon Voyage office at Carnival Cruise Line and order the bottle of your choice and it will be in your room when you enter your cabin. For example, Skye Vodaka is $40. I know that is a little steep but if you figure out the price of a drink at the bar at $6.95 plus 15% versus this price. . . it is a steal. You could bring your own mix in your bags.

Call Carnival Bon Voyage office at Carnival Cruise Line and price the bottle of your choice.
Much easier to pack a bottle og Grey Goose in checked bags.

One issue with booze in checked bags - if you are flying there are usually bag weight limits. A bottle is rather heavy, and the fees for having an overweight bag or an additional bag can negate any cost savings. Plus you have the issue of potential breakage.

We have solved the issue by not flying with liquor, only empty rumrunners. We buy the booze in the morning at the port of embarkation and fill the plastic flasks up and put into the checked luggage.

I buy mine at one of the many bars aboard and carry it to the room OR I order a drink from room service. Bon Voyage would be OK too, but I just do not drink that much in the cabin. If I could not afford to purchase my drinks, I'd have NO business spending money on a cruise.
There ARE times to squeeze money until it squeaks, and there ARE times to simply enjoy money for what it does for you. VACATION is a time to enjoy it.

Use to say we wouldn't smuggle but when bringing our 21 year old son, we decided to this time.
Put one bottle wrapped well in each bag to not weigh it down too much.
When we got to Jamaica, bought more, went through check point, told to check our booze, no problem, they never said to check it all. We simply walked over to the table, handed them the pint size bottle & carried the liters to our cabin.
Also, hubby wen tto by some crown the last day, knowing they deliver that night to your room. They told him to just take it so if you want booze the last night, go buy it early that morning & you will have it for the day.
