Default Excursion options for snorkeling / kayaking

We will be taking our first big cruise to the Caribbean early next year. I definitely want to do some snorkeling and some kayaking when visiting St. Maarten, St. Thomas or Grand Turk. I am very happy to see that there are several choices for Pre-Reserving. I am middle-aged but in pretty good shape so I am looking for some adventure. A saw a couple of sail & snorkel excursions that look like fun. I also saw one that offered a battery operated device that pulls you along in the water. Lots of choices! Looking for some previous experince with some of these to help decide which one to go with. -Thanks!!

With the 'battery operated' snorkeling, are you talking about a 'power shorkel'? We have done this in the past and it can be a lot of fun. You hold on to the thing and it pulls you through the water. It is definitely worth a shot to try it. Enjoy!
