Wink one balcony room in between us and friends

I was hoping that Carnival could call the people that booked the room in between us and our friends on the Conquest for Dec 6th cruise. I called and asked and they told me no that they would not give them a courtesy call just to check to see if they would be willing to switch rooms so that we could have room stogether. We wanted to be right next door so that we could open the partition between the 2 balconies.
Any ideas or suggestions?????

Just my opinion--but sometimes it is good to have a little privacy from friends. We once had a hotel room right next to my sister and BIL and I would have rather not heard all that I did coming from their room.

Pick two different cabins together elsewhere on the ship.

Surely there must be two cabins together somewhere.

ETA: Just realized that you sail in 27 days. Maybe there aren't two cabins together. Why didn't you pick two together in the first place?? Or did you book guarantees?

You may get EXTREMELY lucky like we did on our last cruise. The couple between our cabin and my brother's was more than happy to switch with us, AND we had met them here on the boards before the cruise!! If the stars are in correct alignment, the same could happen to you.

All it took was for at least one person from each cabin going to the purser's desk together and asking to have the keys switched. The whole process took less than five minutes. (The other half of each of the couples went to the purser's desk later to have their keys switched. The purser's desk on the Triumph was very accommodating.)

If you can't switch please don't yell or talk to each other across the balcony. I was stuck once with this happening and it was really annoying. Happy sailing.

I agree with this. You might find that you like having a little break from your friends. Have you spent an extended amount of time with them before? I've had a bad experience in the past with adjoining rooms with friends, so I say proceed with caution.

Happened to us and we waited by our rooms as soon as they were available and talked to the people between us and they agreed to switch. Quick trip to the Pursers desk and all was well.
Hope you meet some nice people who don't mind being one room over.

Hope that the "in between" people cancel and the cabin opens up????

To think that Carnival would call and ask someone to move for that reason is a little out of line, I think.

If being next to each other is that important, see if there are two cabins together elsewhere on the ship......
