Default Le St Bonnet? Flamingo's? Los Arcos? Buddy's?

What is your favorite food spot in Progreso?? I have heard great things about the whole fried fish at LSB...My friend Mach LOVES it...But do they have other good dishes? Fajitas, tacos etc? What do you eat in Progreso?

I am a fan of the fish at Le St Bonnet, great place with killer margaritas. The fish tacos are also very good at the beach side bars.

Le Saint Bonnet was great. Besides the usual Tex-Mex stuff they have tons of fresh seafood and Yucatan specialties.

On the link below, in the Progressor section, Zydeco Cruiser has photos of the complete menu.

My wife and I were on the same cruise as Angel. We had breakfast (Machaca and eggs, Bloody Marys) at Le St. Bonnet Tuesday. The Machaca was a little different from what I've had on the west coast of Mexico, but still very good. The Bloody Marys were well made also. The rest of the menu looks fantastic.

We walked up the beach looking for shells, etc. Made a couple of good finds then decided we needed some refreshment and stopped at Flamingo's for some chips, salsa and guacamole. All quite good and washed down with a couple of cervezas.

We then walked back down the Malecon towards the ship, but decided it was so warm and muggy we better go back to Buddy's for a beer or two. We sat under a palapa on the beach and I have to say that the hospitality and entertainment was the finest. We didn't have anything to eat here, but the beer was cold and the margaritas were not too sweet.

Progreso is a wonderful town. My recommendation is to not make a lot of plans, just go with the flow so to speak.

We were there last week, had drinks & snacks at El Mirador, it was great. All the food they brought looked really good & everyone said is was. It is a little farther down past Buddy's, but not too far of a walk.

How about Heladios'? No one been there? That's a good place also. Free round of snacks with every drink order. A couple of beers and you have had a complete meal that includes all the food groups!

We spent an entire day at Buddy's in September. There were 6 of us and none of us wanted to leave. Buddy was there and was very sociable. I thin the 2 for 1 margarita's for $5 bucks didn't hurt! LOL He even sent us some over for free.
