Exclusive Italian Riviera & Pompeii....NCL Shore Excursion

For those of you who have taken this NCL Shore Excursion out of Naples, I would appreciate your comments. Granted, it is a pricey tour (I've done crazier things for as much--like a 30 minute helicopter ride)....but I certainly like the idea of relaxing, knowing for sure that I am under the umbrella of NCL if there is any type of delay or mishap).

Sorry, but I must rain on your parade. I had great expectations for Pompeii and Iraklion (Crete). What a disappointment. There were several ships in town and every one of them had buses going to Pompeii. In addition, there were several school groups as well. The crowds were bad. Not poorly behaved, just way too many 'tourists'. We could not get close to the things we wanted to see. This was at the tail end of a trans-Atlantic cruise Miami - Athens. One poor day out of 15 is not too bad. Should we ever get back to Naples, we'd stay on board and enjoy the empty ship - or we would go into Naples to the Museo Antropologia (sp?) where most of Pompeii's mosaics have been carted (according to our tour guide).
