Default Going from balcony to spa inside possibly on Dream?

We are taking a family cruise and wanted a balcony but now that I see the lanai area in zydo's photos I am almost thinking of going with a spa inside or outside since the lania wraps all the way around it seems like there will be a ton of deck space. I especially like the lanai aft arrangement. Am I going to regret not getting a balcony?
The other thing to consider is that if I do a balcony I will only do cove since I do not want to look down from my balcony at the lanai. But then we will be cruising at the tail end of September and the coves may be shut alot thanks to high seas during that time.

I can't answer your question, but I want to know who is zydo, and how do I see the photos?

Default Who is Zydo?

I'm not sure, but I think the reference is to zydecocruiser.com
Loads of excellent pictures of the Dream. We are sailing Feb 13 on an Eastern itinerary.
INMHO, balcony is the only way to go! The cove balconies look like a great idea. Last family cruise was on RC Jewel of the Seas. We had a balcony and overlooked a roof of the lower decks. At first I was disappointed, but it turned out to be fine.
Have a great cruise.

We are leaning towards the coves after I talked with DH tonight. He wants a deck where he can just sit on his own and I am fine with just a window so this will split the difference I think. At first we wanted a spa balcony but then I spoke with a friend who just sailed the Dream who said it was a nightmare a few times with the deck and people tossing things on their heads from the deck above. Most of the time it was not even intentional but cigarette ashes being sprinkled on my head are not my idea of relaxing.

Really? On the Dream, the area above the Spa Balconies is the Serenity Area. I thought that was non-smoking?
