I accidently posted a question about the hull color on the main rccl boards but it was quickly buried down the list by new posts... so since it is specific to Oasis I thought I would post it her with a couple of other questions.
1. If you saw Oasis already what did you think of the "blue hull" paint scheme... love it, like it, hate it? Do you want to see it rolled out fleet wide? I am looking at all the pictures and it does appear to have been painted a light blue but it is really hard to tell. 2. What are the black panels on top of the roof of viking crown lounge area? They only seem to be on the port side of the ship. Another poster asked about the sunken/recessed areas on that roof in a different thread and these panels are directly in front of it. 3. Will the glass panels in the solarium area keep it protected from the rain. Some of the pictures make it appear the the panels overlap (while allowing for airflow) and would therefore keep this area dry but others seem to show large gaps between the different levels of panels which would allow rain in. I am admittedly spoiled by the enclosed solariums on other ships.

1. With all the chatter about the blue hull, I thought it looked fine. It's a very light shade of blue and with the water reflecting off it, it's not that noticible.
2. It is believed the black panels on the roof of the Viking Crown Lounge are solar panels. Some what similar to the panels that are all over the Celebrity Solstice Class of ships. 3. The glass panels over the solarium are nice, they look as if they do not completely over lap, but they will keep out rain and probably make it less windy since the solarium is now at the very front of the ship.

1. The morning Oasis came in, at certain points you could clearly tell it was baby blue. But yesterday when i passed by the port and the sun was out, it looked extremely white. (Which is the effect Royal was getting at) I dont think it should be rolled out fleet wide, not because i dont like it, but because it's unique to Oasis.
2. Well... i agree. They look like solar panels. Which makes sense because Oasis will be in the middle of the Caribbean. Plus Royal is trying to make her as eco-friendly as possible. 3. The panels will probably block out most of the wind, due to it's location. But i dont think it'll completely shield the solarium from rain. I've been on 6 cruises, all in the summer, and there hasn't been one day of rain so far. (Knock on wood)
